Samta Foundation works with schools in rural, semi-rural and tribal regions of India with limited access to computer education or other vocational training. We set up computer labs with all the required infrastructure, and take responsibility of maintaining the labs and appoint trained teachers to ensure a complete education.

COMPUTER LITERACY

  • 50 senior citizens in Risod learning computers
  • 136,693 students passed spoken tutorial 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th level exam of introduction to computer & Libre office & Advance computer

 

 

  • 2084 Inmates enrolled for Computer Literacy at our computer lab at Nashik Central Jail & Satara Prison.
  • 922 Inmates passed 1st to 4th level IIT exams from Satara & Nashik Prison.
  • 760 students of computer lab course pursuing IT & Computer Subjects in 11th & 12th standard

COMPUTER LITERACY

IMPACT & RESULT*

  • Students from Computer Literacy course placed in the banking sector as computer operators & CSC operators.
  • 10 prisoners received a reduction of 40 to 60 days in their imprisonment term​
  • 167 students pursuing a Diploma in IT & Computer Engineering

  • 72 women from Bhusawal and Jawhar regions placed as Tailors with Regal Company and Gunj Foundation.​

  • 8461 alumni of the Dress Designing and Tailoring Course surveyed
  • 2950 deserving students who did not have sewing machines or financial capabilities identified

 

  • Sewing machine donation drive conducted through Samta Outreach Programme
  • Special sewing machine training sessions conducted for
    students during summer and Diwali vacations to enhance practical skills and vocational learning.​

We work in a structured daily reporting environment in tandem with school authorities every day. Over time, we have been able to replicate our pilot across schools, and have helped engage students and prevented untimely dropouts.
