The Mannalal Agrawal Institute of Technology (MAIT) is a world-class facility providing quality vocational courses like dress designing and tailoring, programming languages, tally, robotics and computers.
Our Work at MAIT
How MAIT Began
Named after Mr. Mannalal Agrawal, elder brother of our founder Purushottam Agrawal, the institute was started in Risod in 2018 under the Smart Learning Initiative of the Samta Foundation. Its mission is to enable students to learn skills previously available only in cities or at a high cost.
Our Approach
Through a systematic pedagogy, we help enhance key life skills like logical thinking, analytical capacity, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills. With a disruptive technological approach, school children from rural regions are engaged and inspired to meet real-world engineering challenges and get an exposure to global working.
The dress designing course gives housewives a sense of freedom and an opportunity for self-employment or at stores. Children belonging to Muslim communities actively attend these courses, and dream big.
With the tally course taken up by shop owners, college-goers, and housewives, they are equipped to earn in a digital age.
Our Operations
Started by converting an old unused building into a training centre, the MAIT campus is built with attention to details, facilities, systems and people. The institute is led by an able principal, a dedicated team of trainers, and well-qualified computer teachers. While the Foundation bears all costs for trainers’ salaries and software packages, all courses are free. A one-time registration fee of Rs. 100 is applicable for all first admissions. Today, our students make us proud by faring brilliantly in internal competitions and participating in National Robotics Competitions.
